Four Battery Storage Submissions Signify Strong Start to 2022

Electric Land has had a strong start to 2022. The development pipeline has continued to grow at a heathy rate. In Q1 2022 we submitted four Battery Storage planning applications across sites in the Midlands and the North West, totalling 142MW. The four sites range from 25MW to 45MW, and in addition to our 100MW application in Norwich last Quarter, takes us to a total of 242MW of Battery Storage projects currently in planning.

Our development team continue to grow our Battery Storage pipeline and have secured an additional 240MW of capacity across 3 sites in Q1 2022. We expect to have planning submitted for all 3 sites in Q2 2022.

We continue to actively manage our investment portfolio, including completing a lease with Field Energy of our 20MW/40MWh Battery site in Newport, where we expect to see them on site in Q2 2022. We also secured a 15-year Capacity Market Contract on our 49.9MW gas site in Avonmouth, the Capacity Market auction closing at a record £30.59.

We continue to have ambitious plans to build on this growth and would be delighted to discuss how we can partner with operators, developers, and investors.
